XRB Free 1.00
XRB Free - Who doesn't want free beats and drum kits? Goldbaby, the makers of XRB, the massive collection of iDrum Kits and Apple Loops, have come up with a taste of what you will find in the full library. From Hip-Hop to Glitch, XRB gives you what you need to drop the beat.
Included in XRB Free are 16 brand-new iDrum Kits not included in the full XRB pack. In addition, each kit features preset beats, 74 in all. If that's not enough, all 74 beats are rendered as Apple Loops, so you don't have to have iDrum to enjoy XRB!
XRB Apple Loops allow you to build tracks from the ground up, quickly and easily. The included iDrum Kits allow you to modify the beats themselves, using the original sounds for your own beats! The iDrum Kits require a copy of iDrum. For more information on iDrum, or to download a demo, visit the iDrum page at http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/idrum/.

I'm thinking of getting an iPad 2 for music production, perhaps to use these XRB Loops in Garageband on iPad.

Pretty nifty beats, synced straight into Logic, free, what's not to like? Thanks!! did I just say "nifty"?

Although they are sometimes too complex to use in most songs (I am usually just looking for something simple without the strange noises and weird fills) I was able to find many that I enjoyed and will use.

I uninstalled everything. All I want is a metronome that sounds like a real drum. I couldn't figure out what I got from you. So, I uninstalled it. Still on the search...

Sorry.. but the download was not the type of sound sample that I was looking for... Nothing wrong with your site or product!

My comment: I was looking for a few simple drum kits for a couple of jazz styles, blues, pop/rock, and world beats for practice playing my guitar along with them. The free beats/kits were fine but more sophisticated than what I was looking for. I would recommend it for someone who is looking for some drum kits but only if they could hear them first.

Cool. Am still checking out how to use it, but I think not bad quality output.

I really enjoyed the free download and it did enhance my writing the songs I compose it's good that at least something good is still free from time to time.

A Garageband novice
Downloaded some free drum loops to augment the selection in Garageband. They were all audio loops (the ones with the blue symbol) rather than the kind with a yellow note as their icon. They seem to be set at a particular beats per minute, and can't be changed to fit the song you are creating. This may be my novice approach rather than a limitation of audio loops.

Good for House Beats
Unfortunately not enough rock drum patterns or fills.

I appreciate your free kit. It probably wont be used in any productions, but it was nice to have a few extra sounds while trying Idrum.

Though I was not able to use it first hand because I only use a g3 and also windows in which both hosts are not applicable, as a producer, musical arranger songwriter I would recommend and support this all the way!

The bits I got to work are really good, I would have liked some better instructions on how to load the kits and loops. Are there any available?

Good for what it is
I am more apt to use accoustic drum sounds - this seems more geared toward hip hop.

Good, but not exactly right for everything.
I found it as a nice collection of loops, but not really useful in my types of musical projects.
SteveyMichael 2007-08-21 06:20:29 #
I've only just downloaded the free pack and am impressed by the variety of the pre-set loops. But more useful is the IDrum application which I can adjust to suit the music I compose.Have not yet got the results I want, totally, but I feel it's possible with a bit of persistence. Yeah, this looks like the application I was looking for. May even upgrade to the next level in time to come.

but it still had some pretty good beats in it. I would probably recommend it to others.
